We are now seeking to appoint a Head of ICT to provide leadership and management for the school’s wide range of high tech facilities and future ambitions. As Head of ICT you will oversee the company’s overall IT strategy and infrastructure across all its activities, including day-to-day management of the help desk to support students and staff.
You will have proven experience of managing a mid-size IT department and have an excellent track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.Your organisation and delegation skills will be highly honed, and you will have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff, and to gather and translate business requirements into achievable, cost-effective specifications.
You will have experience of working with external suppliers as well as in-house technical specialists and will have a solid understanding of:
- Apple OSX based devices and software.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- TCIP networking, including wireless networking.
- VMware virtualisation technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity to start an IT department from scratch using both MAC and PC technologies as well as the latest AV equipment for teaching and conferences.
